If you're ready to become a SCRC Member now, then please CLICK HERE to get started! (You need not be a member to donate or volunteer.)

Although we certainly accept and appreciate your financial gifts- we can ALWAYS make good use of an extra person or two with all that we are involved in throughout the community. No matter what your level of interest, age, or abilities are- there's always a place for you with the Grand Old Party!

The Dominion Republican Women’s Club (DRWC) consist of professional women, homemakers, mothers, and daughters. We are members of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women (VFRW) and the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW). DRWC is financed through the payment of dues, contributions and fundraising efforts.

Dominion Republican Women are individuals interested in supporting Republican elected officials, qualified candidates for office, and to learn more about legislative, executive and judicial processes. DRWC women hold elective office as Clerk of the Court, wife of Speaker of the House in the General Assembly, and former First District Representative. Our goal is to make a difference one voter at a time and to increase our membership!

WHAT WE DO

Dominion Republican Women:

  • Conduct annual fundraisers to support candidates

  • Donate books to local schools and libraries

  • Elect Republican candidates to office…..especially women!

  • Influence legislation through state and national advocacy programs

  • Promote political education

  • Schedule informative, educational meetings

  • Manage the Fredericksburg Republican Fair Booth

  • Our Community Projects include Food Bank, New Vision, and Salvation Army; promotes volunteerism and leadership in our community.
  • If funds are available, gives scholarship to a high school Republican
  • If funds are available, donates to a young Republican group

Volunteer for a single hour-- if that's all you can spare-- you'll be proud of yourself that you did; and it's a great example to set for children of ANY age, as well.

Whether you enjoy talking to people, working on computers, making phone calls, attending Republican events, parties, or benefits, working at the voting polls, producing mailers, installing signs, planning special occasions, or simply meeting your neighbors and registering them to vote... Republican volunteers stay busy YEAR-ROUND, EVERY YEAR!

Working with Republican causes or campaigns is simply a great way to give back to your community and really effect a change for something you believe in. No amount of mailers or advertisements can replace an enthusiastic and intelligent advocate for a cause or candidate. Our strength is our membership and the caliber of people our party attracts.

The Stafford County Republican Committee (SCRC) relies and operates largely on volunteer time and effort. As with any organization, there are expenses such as headquarters rent, utilities, printing and mailing, and party election signs, to list a few. Your financial support helps provide the resources needed to spread our Republican message to voters throughout Stafford County, and to encourage everyone to participate in the election process.

STARS

Stafford's Teen Age Republican Students ("STARS") keep busy throughout the year and are very friendly, highly reliable, energetic and helpful young men and women! We are so proud of the hard work they do for the Party and the selfless giving of their time and energy. Stafford is blessed to have such a strong group of future leaders rising through our ranks while learning how the core of democracy functions as they grow into an adult leadership role of self-reliance, responsibility and civic duty.

If you are a Stafford County High School Republican student, or college student whose parents live in Stafford and you wish to participate in the political process via volunteering your talents and time, please contact us today. Even just a few hours can make the difference in a campaign or event SCRC is hosting.

Occasionally, we have paid jobs/duties for our most reliable and dedicated STARS– and that looks great on a resume' or college application to say you've participated in your community's election/political process.

Our bright STARS not only stand out among their all-to-often apathetic peers, they seem to excel in life too! It also never hurts to have earned a letter of recommendation from an elected county or state official either to back up your new skill set. Employers are always looking for that special new employee that stands out among the crowd of applicants.

STARS help in every facet of a meeting or campaign from helping gather required signatures to qualify a candidate before an election season, all the way through to election day including helping run the polls and count votes!

JUNIOR R'S

Junior R's ("J.R.'s") are equally as helpful and important to our party as the Y.R.'s. J.R.'s, often in elementary or middle school, can make a day of adult volunteering at a poll a lot less stressful for a parent who may otherwise be unable or unwilling to be away from their child.

A maturing young person like this is often bursting with energy and happy to do the more repetitive tasks like stuffing envelopes; usually with fewer complaints than many adults! While working with mom or dad, or nearby with other adults, parents can observe their youngster's interpersonal skills and help improve them as needed. Encouraging a J.R. to participate with the process we Americans hold dear is a great way to ensure your child grows up knowing and understanding the core Republican principals and how they affect their lives.

J.R.'s also serve as a great proving test for our STARS' leadership skills when given tasks or deadlines to meet that are beyond what one STAR can handle. Since often they are the younger siblings of our STARS, who are working on campaign duties or events, they help teach patience and responsibility to everyone involved and foster teamwork skills among families during "crunch times". Happy families who set an example of togetherness will help earn votes at polls or while campaigning door-to-door.

Republican strengths include our beliefs in a system of family values and strong ethical code of conduct and behavior. Nothing illustrates these values more than raising a whole family by good example.

Since our children really are our future, we all believe it's important that adult Republicans remember to take the time to train our successors. By incorporating STARS and J.R.'s actively into our party, we help keep our party growing in numbers and keep its ideals and values sustainable.

Our Republican leaders take very active roles in the communities they serve, especially when it comes to children's needs. From financial fund raising, organizing community awareness campaigns, passing laws/regulations/policies that protect our children, to simply volunteering their time, energy and expertise whenever possible– Stafford Republicans care about kids!

If you're a student interested in learning more about how we help with your STARS High School Club's Fundraising Programs, or what you have to do to qualify for our upcoming STARS College Scholarship opportunities, please don't hesitate to email us now or come to the next SCRC meeting. Why not bring your parents along too?

...and always remember to bring a friend!
